The Alb Hospital Centeri is taking a new step in its environmental approach: it is now supplied with renewable electricity produced locally, thanks to a partnership with Bohr Energie And the Albi Le Chapitre hydroelectric power station.
Every winter, from November 1 to March 31, 30 to 40% of the hospital's annual electricity needs will now be covered by 100% green, local and carbon-free energy.
Located in Albi itself, the Chapter hydroelectric power plant uses the power of the Tarn River to produce clean and constant electricity.
Rather than being injected into the national grid anonymously, this energy now directly supplies a major local public player: the Albi Hospital Center.
It is an exemplary approach ofcollective self-consumption, which reduces the territory's carbon footprint while supporting the independent production of green electricity.
Our role: connecting production to consumption
At Bohr Energie, we play a key role in making this type of project a reality.
The partnership between the Chapter hydroelectric power plant and the Albi Hospital Center was born as part of a system ofcollective self-consumption, which we ensure the implementation and coordination of.
Our mission is to establish the link between the renewable energy producer and the local consumer, while guaranteeing a secure technical, contractual and regulatory framework.
Concretely, we:
Our objective is simple: to facilitate an energy model that is more local, more sustainable and more accessible to all.
By choosing to eat from a local producer, the Albi Hospital Center is taking concrete action for the energy transition while controlling its costs.
This project perfectly illustrates our raison d'être: to allow each green kilowatt hour produced in a territory to be consumed intelligently there.
It is by connecting producers and local consumers, such as the Albi Hospital Center, the Albi Town Hall, the Toulouse-Lautrec Museum, the Grand Theater, the Media library, or even several schools and municipal buildings, which we contribute, day after day, to building a more resilient, transparent and humane energy model.
